As French language classes grow less France-centric, incorporating linguistic and cultural aspects of large francophone communities such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) moves to the forefront. This study investigates the frequency of common interrogative structure variants of WH- questions in spoken French-language television and radio interviews from the DRC. This presentation highlights pedagogical methods that French instructors can use to teach interrogative structures, painting a more complete picture of the francophonie.
